Graeme first started climbing at school and from that day onwards has been captivated by the outdoors. Twenty five years ago he became invested in disability work cutting his teeth at world renowned centre Calvert Trust, Keswick, From that day onwards he has become more and more fascinated by the area of work and has worked hard with the main representative bodies to develop an environment for everybody to share. He has managed and grown the Climbing for All course over the last 20 years committed to growing participation. He also founded the GB paraclimbing Team and competition circuit. More recently he has been working hard to grow the knowledge of the more senior sector of the climbing and mountaineering sector by working closely with Association of Mountaineering Instrucors.

He has climb, mountaineer, bikes kayaked and run in many -art of the work and most importantly forged very strong friendships through sharing the experiences.

Graeme has also worked in other areas of work including Learning Disability Support Services, Disability Sports Development and more recently Social prescribing in the NHS

For his hard work he was awarded BMC Volunteer of the Year 2021

He was recently awarded Runner Up UK Social Prescriber of the Year. Highly Commended
