With over 40 years of venturing into diverse environments worldwide, Graeme's life has been inextricably linked with the thrill of climbing, kayaking, mountaineering, and biking. His profound comfort amidst the rugged beauty of mountains and the exhilarating rush of fast-flowing rivers speaks to a deep connection with the natural world.

Hill Ascents is the culmination of Graeme's unwavering commitment to sharing this passion. For over three decades, the company has translated his personal experiences into meticulously delivered outdoor activities, always prioritizing safety and enjoyment. Beyond direct adventure provision, Graeme has also dedicated over 15 years to providing invaluable training, advisory, and consultancy services within the outdoor sector.

A true pioneer in the field of inclusive outdoor experiences, Graeme Hill is widely regarded as one of the most respected providers of training and advisory work in accessible adventure. His journey into this specialized area began at the Calvert Trust, Keswick, and has continued to the present day, marking a significant impact on making the outdoors available to all.

Among his many achievements, Graeme co-founded the GB Para-climbing Team with the British Mountaineering Council, managing the team through its early development. He oversees the "Climbing for All" course and has served as a key advisor to prominent organizations such as Mountain Training, the Association of British Climbing Walls, and the British Mountaineering Council on matters of outdoor access. His expertise is further evident in his contributions to the Mountain Training Booklet for "Climbing for All" and his authorship of the Mountain Training guideline document, "Seated Belaying." For over two decades, he has been an active member of IOL Adventure for All, chairing the organization for five years, and has also been a regular member of the BMC Equity Steering Group, continually advocating for greater inclusivity in outdoor pursuits.
